The Bible (Old and New) is fully inspired by the Spirit of God and is the greatest revelation of who God is, reveals the Triune God (Father, Son and Spirit) His plan for the salvation of humanity and His Second Coming. Although written by many different people it is trustworthy and through the Holy Spirit, leads us in to all Truth.
The Person of God
We believe there is one living and true God who has revealed Himself in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, (John 10:36; 20:21, 22) infinitely perfect and eternal in existence, and equal in glory, majesty, and power (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21, 22). The Father is the creator of all things (Matt 6.9).
Jesus came as a human to reveal the heart of the Father and to bring Salvation to humanity (Hebrews 9.28). He is fully man and fully God, He died and was resurrected and seated at the right hand of the Father (Ephesians 1.20).
The Holy Spirit is the comforter, the revealer of Jesus Christ and the cross, the empowerer. He is the revealer of spiritual gifts.
God revealed Himself in the Old Testament as Jehovah Rophe (Exodus 15.25) – the God who heals. Jesus healed people through the power of the Holy Spirit and gives us the same Spirit today. Jesus told his disciples to ‘heal the sick’ (Matt 10.8) and this still applies today.
The Presence of God
We value the Presence of God. In Exodus 33 Moses declared that the Presence of God was non negotiable: ‘If your Presence doesn’t go with us, do not send us’. We believe that the Presence of God is at the core of the Gospel; that Immanuel, God is with us. It is Righteousness Peace and Joy (Romans 14.17). It is full of laughter and freedom. It is a Consuming Fire (Hebrews 12.29).
The Bible is filled with supernatural encounters with God. Jesus was a miracle worker through the power of the Holy Spirit and gave us the same Spirit who would be with us forever (John 14.16). There is no difference between what the early church had what we have today.
The Supernatural power of the Holy Spirit is accessible through the gift of faith (1 Corinthians 12.9) and is here today.
Presence of God transforms lives, supernaturally or through everyday acts of kindness. Every revival in history left the building and transformed the world around it.
We believe there is one Body. We believe in cross denominational friendships and value relationship across theological difference. We believe God is not moving through one denomination or church but in many different streams. Jesus prayed that we would recognise the Oneness together which we share in the Body of Christ (John 17.21).
Honour, Honesty and accountability
We believe in being real, and that genuine leadership is found in openness and honesty. Honour is about valuing someone for who they really are, not what they do. We want purity to be at the heart of what we are about, so transparency is essential to everything.
